Master of the Wild is a stream series where Mike Burgess video producer attempts to complete Breath of the Wild on Master Mode! But there’s a few other things going on then just beat Ganon and roll credits. The streams are Every Tuesday at 8PM ET and Sunday at 3PM ET.
In order for the title Master of the Wild to be claimed I have to complete this list of things in Breath of the Wild
COMPLETE ALL MAIN OBJECTIVES: All 4 temples, getting the Master Sword and actually taking down ganon obviously, but anything that is related to the actual Main quest-line I must complete.
ALL SHRINES: I will complete all 120 shrines and get the tunic of the wild armor set.
ALL DLC EXPANSIONS: Sword Trials & Ballad I must complete.
DEFEAT THE MOST DIFFICULT ENEMIES: I will have to take down each of the mini bosses throughout the world, One of each Guardian type, and One of each Gold enemy type.
Most of this can be done in any order and is up to me in which way I want to tackle them.
So this sounds all good and well right? Base BotW is not difficult after a certain point so i’m hoping it’s all the sa-BUT- HOLD IT
THE WHEEL OF FATE
At the start of each stream the wheel WILL BE SPUN. And for that stream I must deal with what the wheel chooses. Here’s a breakdown of the current wheel’s challenges. (NOTE: this will be updated as I progress through certain points of the game or gain access to abilities, items, etc)
Can’t Upgrade Hearts x 2
Can’t Upgrade Stamina x 2
Raw Food Only
Bow Only
No Shields
No Cooking
Sleep At Night
HOWL OF THE WOLF- I will use my Wolf Link Amiibo to summon a trusty wolf friend!
AMIIBO GET- I get to use one of my many Amiibos to give me whatever drops from the chests
(I know i’m giving myself a few freebies here but hey I do need to beat the game at some point….)
These are mostly self explanatory. But here’s where it gets a little more challenging
YA- HAHAHA x 2- Must stop whatever i’m doing and get 5 korok seeds before I progress
NO FAST TRAVEL- Gonna be a long walk folks
I LIKE BIG BLADES- Can only use 2 handed weapons like great-swords, axes
PREVIOUSLY ON… – I’ll have to take the last challenge from a previous stream as well as a 2nd challenge
HOWL OF THE WOLF- I will use my Wolf Link Amiibo to summon a trusty wolf friend!
AMIIBO GET- I get to use one of my many Amiibos to give me whatever drops from the chests
EVENTIDE MODE- I must unequip my armor and remove all weapons i have on me and start over from that moment
IT TAKES TWO- I must do 2 challenges from the wheel
GANON RUN-I must stop whatever i’m doing and immediately make for Ganon and see how far I can get in the run, I atleast have to make it to Hyrule Castle for the run to count.
Honestly i’m putting this together so i’m not explaining things every dang stream. But I really hope you’ll join me on this exciting new adventure!
