Hey! Hi. Welcome. I’m Alex. I’m writing this for you new listeners, or just… well people who haven’t been through this rodeo before. Hopefully this will be a pretty brief (I tend to get a little esoteric) introduction to how this is going to work.
First of all, all of our Game of the Year content will be in podcast form. I will also have a written list of my Top 10 games of the year, but you can still get the podcast version of it. If you don’t already subscribe to our podcast, that’s the easiest way to get all of this good stuff. Here are some links for that:
You can always dump our RSS feed into whatever podcast service you like. Also: check us out on Stitcher!
There will be two weeks of Game of the Year Content here on IrrationalPassions.com. The first week is of “Guest Top 10s”, where I, Alex O’Neill, sat down to record 18 amazing guest 10 Top podcasts, and Nabeshin sat down to record one additional one. That’s 19 sets of lists that are not our own. They’re super fun, and spoiler friendly. I took the time to write down what gets spoiled in the descriptions of all of those, so definitely make sure you check them so you know what you’re getting into. They’ll come out this week, between January 4th and 9th.
Then there is the Irrational Passions Game of the Year Show! Nabeshin really sets all of this up, so if you listen to the podcast, you should send him some love and appreciation. That’s going to go up next week, between the 11th and the 15th. There will be five episodes, five days, and tons of categories that we will go through and deliberate about, Giant Bomb style, ending with the construction of our Top 10 Games of the Year (as a podcast).
That’s how it will all work! Two weeks, 24 podcasts, and more audio than you’ll have time to listen to (probably). I hope you like it all!
Keep it tuned here, there will be some video versions of Top 10s and posts for each one, just click on GOTY 2015 in the top bar to get to all the GOTY content you need!
