We’re always updating what we do, trying to stay up to date, so now we’re updating our review format! Look past the break for more.
So this isn’t a major different, but it is an update. We’ve decided that we can’t give a full review to indie games, and also we wanted to review DLC and add-on content. We’re making a subsidiary of our normal review format for just that reason! Now full downloadable games and full retail games will of course retain the original review format, so don’t worry about getting confused.
Now for DLC and indie games, we’ll now be using a 5-star system. Pretty straight forward, easy to understand, and it should make the reviews easier to read. We’ll also be keeping the point score, but now it will just be a general score out of 20, not based on categories.
Also, for things like map packs, we won’t be giving a score, just a general recommendation whether or not to buy it. Its hard to give a score to maps.
As for our normal reviews, they’ll be getting some sweet score cards, now defining them as an 11-point scale, as well as keeping our scale of one-Awesome. This may compromise our original idea of keeping a unique score system, it will make things look better and get to the point on what people actually care about.
The score cards will probably look something like this:
Or they’ll look like this:
Hope this scale doesn’t confuse anyone! Feel free to leave any question and feedback in the comments section!
