So Square has finally come out and said when the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX is coming to the west, which happens to be this fall.
Now it was an assumption up until this point, but The Playstation Blog has reported that the HD remake will contain the added content from Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, and will also feature the full “movie” version of 258/3 days and PS2’s Re:Chain of Memories.
Now there hasn’t been news on any specific release date, just “this fall”, but seeing how Kingdom Hearts 3D was localized in a mere four months, and this is already set for a minimum of six months, I’d say it would be early fall. Keep in mind this is entirely, 100% speculation, but Square’s localization times are always getting faster.
This is the Kingdom Hearts series’ first foray into High Definition, and since the title is so aptly titled “1.5 HD ReMIX”, it can be expected there will be a “2.5” as well, all in the prelude to Kingdom Hearts 3. Again, speculation, but this seems to be the trend.
