Hello all, I am happy to announce a series of streams we’ll be doing throughout the month of October to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a charity to help fight against and research all blood-based cancers. For unfamiliar friends or newcomers, or just folks interested in donating and getting involved, we lost a dear friend, Justin, last February to Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. Justin was very much a close personal friend of myself, as well as the whole crew of Irrational Passions Podcast, and many more beyond, both within our circle and outside.
This month, and possibly in the future years to come, we plan on raising money for Leukemia and Lymphoma research by playing games Justin loved, talking about the best times and past events with him, and smiling and sharing our love of video games. Think of this very much in the spirit of past events like ExtraLife, which Justin would often participate in.

Right now all of our group streams this month, starting tonight October 6th, will be for this event, as well as some weekly one-off streams playing some of Justin’s favorite games or genres.
In the future, we’d definitely like to do more, but for folks unaware my current health situation just means I’m in a tricky place as far as continuous content, thus some of the missing series and shows of IP from the last few months. I’m unsure how long this will continue, and more big streams this month would be wonderful, but just not very doable for me at the moment. That being said, anyone reading that would like to host your own streams and also participate in our first “SigmaOmegathon October” please reach out to me on Twitter!

I’ll be updating the post as the month goes on, and I want to thank folks and followers of IrrationalPassions for A) sticking with and supporting us with love even in some dry times like now, and B) always encouraging us and coming out during our charity events. Obviously some of our events in the past were highlights in the history of IP, and I’m exciting to remember Justin and raise money for a cause that I know means a lot to myself and the team at Irrational Passions as a whole.
